Josef & Erika

Foto: Miki Anagrius

In the past decade, this duo has released two albums and have toured throughout Sweden and abroad. They developed and established a unique sound with their debut Wallpaper Stories (2005) and the Swedish grammy nominated Small small small small sounds (2007). With these two albums they have gained a well-deserved corner of their own on the alternative music scene.

With their third album, Josef & Erika expand their duo with arrangements for tuba, french horn and flugel horn. The vast and deep voice of the brass trio is carefully added to their otherwise minimalistic expression. It’s a perfect match, and brings another atmo- sphere to the new songs, influenced by folk, pop and experimental music. Floods was released on Hoob Records in March 2011.

X/Y is Goran Kajfes third solo album, or actually it´s two albums, each with it´s own well defined character, and – a visual art bookset featuring some of Scandinavias top names. Combined, all this makes up a conceptual study reminding us of some of the more ambitious albums from the past.

Midaircondo feat. Michala Østergaard-Nielsen

With feet firmly entrenched in avant-garde sound art, soft jazz, live electronica and melancholy pop, Midaircondo (Lisa Nordström / Lisen Rylander Löve) has created a small miracle of warm, tingling, gently exuberant and silly, evocative music. Midaircondo and percussionist Michala Østergaard-Nielsen, meet in an exciting new project.
